~ Taj hotels will host 47 NSG commandos in five cities across the country during their 7500 km journey
MUMBAI, OCTOBER 12, 2021: Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), South Asia’s largest hospitality company, has partnered with the landmark Sudarshan Bharat Parikrama Rally as it hosts the National Security Guard (NSG) commandos at five of its hotels across the country. The rally, which celebrates ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to mark the occasion of India’s 75th Independence, will see the 47 NSG commandos stay at Taj hotels in select cities through the course of their journey.
IHCL applauds the devotion and grit of the NSG commandos and is proud to host them at its iconic hotel The Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai; Taj Mahal, Lucknow; Taj Bengal in Kolkata; Taj Krishna in Hyderabad and Taj Coromandel, Chennai, as they make their way across the length and breadth of India. Flagged off on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the rally will cover a distance of 7500 kms, making its way through 18 key cities in less than a month.
NSG is an elite counter-terror force and the commandos are brave, highly motivated and specially trained to win in the most difficult of situations. Starting from the historic Red Fort in New Delhi, the ‘Sudarshan Bharat Parikrama’ will tour India’s major war memorials and monuments through Agra, Lucknow, Varanasi, Bodh Gaya, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, Berhampur, Vizag, Vijaywada, Hyderabad, Ongole, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hublii, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Jaipur, celebrating the dedication and perseverance of the nation’s protectors.
