IHCL Announces The Signing Of A Taj Hotel In Patna, Bihar

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, today announced the signing of a Taj hotel in Patna, Bihar. This is a greenfield project.
Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, said, “Patna is emerging as one of the fastest‑growing urban centers in India, supported by improved connectivity and infrastructure development. The city presents significant potential for celebrations, large conventions and business travel, making it a key destination. The signing of this new Taj hotel strengthens our presence in Bihar and reflects our commitment to the region’s growth story. We are pleased to further our partnership with Patliputra Palace Pvt. Ltd. with this project.”
The 500‑key Taj Patna, located opposite the iconic Gandhi Maidan, enjoys a prime position with the River Ganges flowing to the north of the site. Guests can enjoy dining at the all‑day dining restaurant, two speciality restaurants and lobby lounge. The hotel offers a temperature‑controlled swimming pool, fitness centre, recreational facilities, salon and Taj’s signature J Wellness Circle spa. The hotel’s features expansive banqueting facilities including a 16,000 sq.ft. ballroom, complemented by multiple meeting spaces, making it ideal for large conferences and social gatherings.

Patna, one of India’s oldest cities, serves as a gateway to Bihar’s historic and cultural attractions. The city is home to landmarks such as Gandhi Maidan, Bapu Sabhagar and the iconic Gol Ghar.
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 7 hotels in Bihar, including 4 under development.
